The Askina® Cast casting bandage by B.Braun is highly popular due to its easy moldability and lightweight nature, while maintaining high stability.
It is made from synthetic fiberglass, which is impregnated with polyurethane resin. Its stability and load-bearing capacity are achieved after 30 minutes, while it sets after just 15 minutes. Thanks to the fiberglass fabric, it offers excellent supportive properties and can be easily removed after fractures have healed by unrolling. This support bandage also has X-ray permeability, so it does not need to be removed before X-rays.
Askina® Cast is used for immobilization after, for example, bone fractures, and is available in various widths with a length of 3.6 meters and in 2 colors.
