Blister Plasters
Blister plasters are available in different sizes - uncut or cut ready to use or in pre-cuts for diverse parts of the body. A blister plaster acts as a protective cover above the wounded spot. A padding layer of gel reduces pain by pressure or friction to a minimum.

Blister Plasters - Pain-relieving and Versatile
Blister plasters are suitable for the treatment of abrasions, minor cuts, as well as moist wounds such as burst blisters or cold sores on the lips or nose. These plasters cater to both professional medical and private needs.
This is particularly practical as these waterproof plasters can be used for activities such as swimming or even for showering for body hygiene. The adhesive strength of waterproof plasters remains intact even when exposed to prolonged moisture. Moreover, the flexibility of movement is much higher due to the thin material on the sides of the plaster, which conforms better to the skin.
How Blister Plasters Work
Blister plasters feature a hydrocolloid cushion that contains a cushioning gel layer. The gel absorbs blister or wound fluid, preventing the spread of germs. At the same time, it prevents germs from entering the wound from the outside. Furthermore, the gel does not adhere to the wound, allowing it to heal cleanly.
The cushioning of the plaster provides relief from pressure on the injured area. The pain-relieving effect lasts for several days, allowing a blister plaster to be worn until the wound is completely healed. The plasters are waterproof, breathable, and gentle on the skin. After use, the plasters can be removed without causing irritation to the wound. For optimal healing, they should be worn until they come off on their own.
Areas of Application for Blister Plasters
Blisters form particularly quickly on hands and feet when under pressure. They can be caused by ill-fitting footwear or one-sided pressure when using tools or sports equipment.
The soft blister plasters conform to the body shape and can be placed in hard-to-reach areas. Specifically pre-cut plasters are available for fingers and toes or heels and ball of the foot. With a blister plaster on the foot, walking becomes easier again, while a plaster, especially on the hands, minimizes the risk of a blister getting infected.
Furthermore, superficial cuts or abrasions can also be treated with blister plasters. They can also be used to hygienically cover cold sores that can develop in sensitive facial areas such as the lips and nose. The cushioning plaster also protects the area from involuntary scratching or rubbing, preventing the occurrence of injuries that could lead to unpleasant infections. The plasters remain reliably in place even during washing or teeth brushing.
As they form an effective protective barrier against friction and mechanical injuries, blister plasters are also suitable for preventing the formation of blisters or corns. They can be applied to an irritated area to absorb the pressure exerted there.
Note: Since hands come into contact with germs on a daily basis, regular hand washing is particularly important - the waterproof blister plasters maintain their adhesion even with frequent washing.
