Electrode & Contact Cream for ECG, EEG & Defibrillation
The Medicalcorner24® electrode cream is a highly conductive contact cream that is mainly used for ECG or EEG examinations. The contact cream is also used as a lubricant for probes in the vaginal and anal area or as an electrode cream for defibrillation and EMG treatments.
The MC24 electrode cream is offered in different fillings and packaging units. We are happy to answer any questions you may have. More information at the end of this page.
Information on Electrode Cream from MC24
Electrode cream serves as a lubricant and contact agent, the high electrical conductivity of which enables the interference-free transmission of electrical impulses to the inside of the body. The contact cream forms a gentle protective layer on the skin and prevents irritation from contact with electrodes and probes.
Properties of the Electrode Cream
The Medicalcorner24® contact cream has a pH value between 5.5 and 6.5 and is hypoallergenic. It is non-greasy, gentle on the skin, even when used over a long period of time, and does not leave any residue on skin or clothing.
Due to its excellent conductivity, the electrode cream is not only suitable for ECG and EEG examinations, but also, for example, for EMG muscle training, tens devices and chest belts or defibrillation in medical emergencies.
Application of the Electrode Cream
ECG examinations of the heart or the measurement of brain activity by means of EEG take place on the body surface - these are non-invasive procedures. The electrode cream enables interference-free measurement of the respective body activities. For this purpose, the cream is applied to electrodes, probes, etc. before they come into contact with the skin. Thanks to its creamy substance, the contact agent can be dosed very sparingly and applied precisely. After the examination, it can be removed without leaving any residue with a washcloth or towel.
Notice: Only special ultrasound gel should be used for ultrasound examinations.
