The Dispomed universal stoppers serves as a safety closure of prefilled syringes or connections on the infusion set.
Furthermore, the sterile stopper has a double function - it can be used for both male and female luer lock connectors. The compressive strength is 200 kPa (2 bar) and thus the safety lock is also used for pressure and gravity infusions used.
