The osteoporotic spine model, 3 spines by Erler Zimmer consists of three lumbar vertebrae with spinal discs in medial cut for better presentation of the underlying bone structure.
Properties of Osteoporotic Spine Model
The medial cut allows for optimal studies of the bone structure of the different vertebrae. The first vertebra has a healthy bone structure, the middle vertebra shows first signs of osteoporosis, while the lower vertebra is highly osteoporotic with dented top- and bottom-plate – the so-called Fish Vertebra.
The vertebra are life-size models and can be taken down from the stand separately.
