Product details - Torso with Open Back
The 27-part torso with open back by Erler Zimmer is an anatomically correct reproduction of a human torso and shows internal organs, nerves, musculature and bones as well as swappable male and female genitals.
The torso model is highly detailed and can be disassembled into 27 parts. It shows the most important organs and anatomical details of the human body. The right half of the head is laid open to allow for observation of skull, brain, mouth, pharynx and the eye. The open front of the throat allows for observation of larynx, thyroid gland and blood vessels. Breast and belly are fully opened to allow for studies of the internal organs which can be removed and in some cases disassembled. Male and female genitals are swappable as required. The back of the torso model is also opened to show parts of the back muscles, the spine, spinal nerves and a removable vertebra with spinal marrow. The whole model is mounted on a base plate and is delivered including a torso-duide on CD-Rom. The model weighs approximately 10,4 kg and has the dimensions 88 x 40 x 23 cm.
The torso model can be used for anatomical studies or in biology classes at schools as well as for the training of future physicians and other medical personnel. Due to the detailed reproduction and the in some cases removable organs, it is also suitable for patient information in medical practices or hospitals.
