Variety of Bristles - Bath Brushes in Different Designs
Bath brushes are available in different designs. Here we have created a practical overview for you before we go into detail:
- Bath Brushes with Handle
- Hand Brush (Bath Brush without Handle)
- Anatomically Shaped Back Brush
- Three-in-one Brush
- Nail Brush or "Doctor's Brush"
- Wall Brush
Bath Brushes with Handle
The classic bath brush is the version with an oval brush head and long handle. Thanks to a total length of around 40 centimeters, these bath accessories are particularly suitable for reaching hard-to-reach areas of the body such as the back, legs or feet. The handle can often be removed so that you can use this type of bath brush as a hand brush. Scrubbing easily accessible parts of the body is just as straightforward. If you want to sit comfortably at the same time, take a seat on a shower stool or shower chair.
The anatomically shaped back brush is a variation of the bath brush with a handle: the bristles are arranged on the side of the slightly S-shaped curved cleaning aid and thus nestle perfectly against the anatomy of the back. This not only guarantees ideal cleaning, but also a soothing massage. A special feature is the so-called body cleansing set. This is a classic stick brush - but you can easily replace the head component. In addition to a care brushes, care pillows or caring sponges are also available. Get three convenient helpers in one.
Hand and Wall Brushes
Nail or hand brushes are usually elongated, rectangular brushes of smaller size. They are intended for particularly thorough cleaning of the hands and especially the areas around and on the fingernails. If they are used for cleaning regularly, they help to reduce the transmission of germs through body contact - for example when shaking hands. In doctors' offices and clinics, they support hand disinfection, which is why they are sometimes referred to as "doctor's brushes".
For people with physical limitations, the hand brush is also available as a wall brush: the 1-hand brush can be attached to the sink or a tile with two suction cups, so you don´t need a free hand. The larger version for the shower works exactly according to the same principle: The approximately 24 by 11 centimeter surface is used for hand-free cleaning of the back. Here, too, suction cups ensure stability during cleaning. The use of shower or bathtub inserts is recommended so that the showering person has a safe stand while using the wall brush.
Other Cleaning Aids
In addition to the versatile bath brushes, there are also a number of other bathing aids:
- Massage gloves massage gently and with their fine plant fibers - made from sisal, for example - ensure deep cleansing of the skin surface with a slight peeling effect.
- Massage belts with handles can also be used to massage the back without outside help.
Like bath brushes, massage gloves and massage belts stimulate blood circulation through their activating contact with the skin and thus improve general health. In addition, the peeling with these products ensures tender, soft skin. You can gently clean the skin with a bath sponge from our online range.
Advantages of Different Materials
Bath brushes in all their variety are made of wood or plastic and are equipped with bristles made of natural material or nylon. If you value sustainability, it is best to use bath brushes made of wood and natural bristles. They are made from renewable raw materials and are biodegradable. Bath brushes made of plastic or nylon are less complicated in terms of cleaning and care.
Brushes for hand and nail cleaning made of special plastic are also autoclavable. This means that they can be sterilized with the aid of steam in an autoclave, i.e. made sterile. Usually this happens at temperatures between 110 and 140 degrees Celsius. The brushes are therefore particularly suitable for body cleaning wherever strict hygienic conditions are important.
