How to use the Philips Nuance Nasal Mask
Creating the mask
- Mask holder: Pull the mask holder over your head.
- Cushion: Insert the tips of the cushion pad A into the nostrils.
Setting the mask
- Mask holder: Adjust the crest tape. The mask holder should, similar to a pair of glasses, sit slightly above the ears. Warning: The mask parts should not come in contact with the eyes.
- Loosen the crest to remove the frame from your eyes.
- Mask holder: Pull the tabs I off the bands, set a uniform length, and replace the tabs on the bands (by pressing against the bands). The Gelwangenkissen sit under the cheekbones. The mask should be comfortable on your face. Hose positioning (optional)
- Slide the mask tube F through the hose positioning loop L.
- Position the tube of mask over your head and away from the eyes.
Use the mask
- Connect the flexible hose (included with the CPAP or Bi-Level unit) to the pivot.
- Turn on the therapy device. Please lay down. Breathe normally.
- Take different sleeping positions. Change your position until you are comfortable. If there is a major leak.
