What is Aqua Destillata?
Aqua Dest or Aqua Destillata is distilled water that is free from trace elements, salts, and microorganisms and cannot be compared with tap water, as tap water contains natural contaminants. Aqua Destillata is also not suitable for consumption like tap water.
It is produced by evaporating normal water and collecting the resulting condensation water, a process known as distillation. You can find more information about its production and use in our blog post What is distilled water?

Quality requirements for Aqua Destillata
The European Pharmacopoeia sets strict quality requirements for the use of distilled water (Aqua purificata) in the manufacture of medicines in order to ensure sufficient purity.
