What is IPL?
IPL is a treatment method for permanent hair removal and stands for Intense Pulsed Light. Application example: IPL gel. Unlike other treatment methods, it does not use a laser but a xenon light source. During treatment, the hair roots are destroyed by light pulses and therefore cannot grow back.
The treatment must be carried out several times because hair can only be destroyed during its growth phase; nevertheless, improvement can already be seen after the first treatment.
One problem with IPL treatments is that, because light hair lacks the protein melanin, it cannot be destroyed by xenon light.
For optimal results and to protect the skin, using a contact medium is recommended. We specifically recommend IPL gel made for laser hair removal, which has both a cooling and conditioning effect.
Information about IPL gel
IPL gel can be used in many areas. It is primarily used as a contact gel for permanent hair removal, but due to its conditioning properties, it is also used in the cosmetics sector and in beauty clinics.
Ingredients of IPL gel
The following ingredients are contained in Medicalcorner24® IPL gel:
- Aqua
- Carbomer
- Propylene Glycol
- Methylchloroisothiazolinone
- Glycerin
- Sodium Hydroxide
- Benzyl Alcohol
Features of Medicalcorner24® IPL contact gels
Medicalcorner24® IPL gel was specially developed for IPL treatment. It is applied to the intended area, where it has a cooling effect and thus alleviates pain. With a pH value of 5.8 to 6.4, it is within the skin-like range.
Due to the vacuum conditions during production, the gel is completely bubble-free and acoustically precise. Thanks to the humectant it contains, it can be stored for up to 30 months. The gels are also free from formaldehyde, perfume additives, and colorants.
