The cohesive and latex-free compression bandage is made of non-woven fabric, in which elastic threads are incorporated. It is 4.5 m long and has an extensibility of approx. 100%. The compression bandage is particularly suitable for bandages where high compression is to be applied. For example, it is applied after dialysis over the shunt covered with a compress or swab to stop bleeding. A compression bandage can also be applied for a short time after joint punctures (e.g. at the knee joint) after the fluid has been punctured out of the joint.
